STIHL Easy2Start™
|
|
The advantage of the STIHL Easy2Start™ System is
obvious: the effort needed to start the engine with Easy2Start™ is
two-thirds less than that of a conventional starting system. In
addition, the starting speed is also reduced by two-thirds. In a
nutshell, this advanced starting system is designed to make starting
STIHL products fast and easy for just about anyone.
A gentle uniform pull on the starter rope is enough for the engine to start reliably. Power tools start easily with the new STIHL
Easy2Start™ system.

Convenient operation from the very start
Whether you're mowing the lawn or cutting grass along fences and walls, STIHL brushcutters are always the answer for professional garden and landscape maintenance. With the new STIHL
Easy2Start™ system, these jobs can be completed easier right from the start.
Easy starting
Starting efficiently from the very beginning is a typical feature of the quality produced by STIHL. That's why STIHL has developed the new
Easy2Start™ system. With this introduction, STIHL's FS 45 C and FS 55 C can be started even easier and more comfortably. No matter how hard you pull, the engine always starts reliably and without any effort at all.
Simply clever - the STIHL Easy2Start™
Distinctly less effort is needed to start the engine with the STIHL
Easy2Start™ system. As the rope is pulled, a helical spring is tensioned against the compression pressure. This helical spring simultaneously compensates the individual peak forces, making them virtually imperceptible on the rope itself. When the energy stored in the spring is greater than the compression pressure, it is discharged to the crankshaft and the engine is started. This may sound complicated, but in fact, it is really very simple. Most importantly, the advantage is evident immediately.

|
Several peak forces have to be overcome when starting a power tool with a standard starting system. With the STIHL
Easy2Start™ system, it is sufficient to give a smooth and gentle pull on the starter rope - the Easy2Start™ system takes care of the rest.
|
|
| The starter mechanism is in its basic position. The spring is relaxed and the starter rope wound up. |
As the rope is uniformly pulled out, the spring is tensioned against the compression pressure and peak forces are compensated. |
The spring automatically discharges its stored energy to the crankshaft, thus setting it in motion and ensuring the engine starts reliably. |

Discover for yourself just how easy the engine starts with the STIHL
Easy2Start™ system. The
Easy2Start™ system eliminates the need for a strong fast pull of the starting cord. It also eliminates the resistance created by the compression of the engine's cylinder. The new
Easy2Start™ system is now available on STIHL's FS 45 C and FS 55 C machines.
